The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 15 with a 6-6-1 record after a 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on “Thursday Night Football.”
The Cowboys defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving, but then fell to the Lions, and now the playoff hopes are getting slimmer each week.

On Sunday night, the Cowboys host the Minnesota Vikings, who have a 5-8 record and are right behind them in the NFC standings, although both have work to do.
The Cowboys’ best shot is most likely the NFC East division title, and they are now chasing the 8-5 Philadelphia Eagles.
Ahead of the “Sunday Night Football” game against the Vikings, quarterback Dak Prescott got some positive news on the offense.

Late on Saturday night, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that tight end Jake Ferguson will play.

“#Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (calf) and DE Jadeveon Clowney (hamstring) are both listed as questionable and both expected to play on Sunday vs. the #Vikings, source said.”
Ferguson was limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday with a practice absence on Thursday, so there were questions about whether or not he would play.
Ferguson is third on the team in receiving yards (554), second in touchdowns (7) and second in receptions (75), so he is enjoying a big year.

Against the Lions, he had five receptions for 58 yards on seven targets, and Prescott has targeted him at least five times in each of the last five games.
The Cowboys and Vikings kick off on Sunday night at 8:20 pm ET with the game being broadcast on NBC.
