LEXINGTON — More than nine years have passed since Kentucky basketball squared off with Indiana. Fourteen years since the pair have played in the regular season. And 15 years since the Hoosiers played at Rupp Arena.

That changes tonight, as UK and coach Mark Pope renew the program’s heated rivalry with IU.

The Wildcats and Hoosiers have met 57 times, with Kentucky owning a 32-25 lead. IU has won two of the past three meetings, but UK is 10-3 in Lexington versus its border-state rival.

Neither Kentucky (6-4) nor Indiana (8-2) is ranked, but both received votes in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll as well as the AP Top 25.
