ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking a person of interest in the SC State shootings that occurred on October 4.
Officials say the person of interest was seen on campus the night of the shootings that killed 19-year-old Jaliyah Butler.
In a separate shooting, a man was critically injured and airlifted to the hospital.

So far in the investigation, three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting.
On Oct. 27, authorities charged 18-year-old Matthew McCoy with carrying a weapon on school property and pointing and presenting a firearm.
McCoy was released on a $50,000 bond for the first charge and a $37,000 bond on the second.
Another teen, Jimmy Lee Thompson Jr, 18, was arrested on October 9 and posted a $10,000 bond for the charges related to carrying a weapon on school property.

On October 28, 18-year-old Treveion James Crawford was charged with carrying a weapon on school property.

In October, authorities said they do not believe the two shootings are connected, but both investigations remain active.
